I’m a writer, coach, filmmaker, and builder working to create a more empowered and connected world.
My (condensed) life story
I’m a third culture kid. I grew up across seven very different places: New Delhi in India, Jeddhah in Saudi Arabia, New Plymouth in New Zealand, and across the US (NYC and Houston).
I’m so grateful to grow up exposed to so many cultures and people, growing my empathy muscles. Despite the challenges of assimilation, I knew that I was in a more fortunate place. So, I decided that my life’s work would be to utilize my talent to have greater impact in the world.
So, at sixteen, I decided to focus my career on doing something that would empower underserved communities and causes. But how?
At Stanford, I discovered CS, excited by my love for building and tech’s potential to impact people’s lives at scale. So, I became a CS major. I fell into product management, attracted to its emphasis on solving customer problems and leadership. I got my start in the APM program at Google, and have had the opportunity to work on product at Sequoia/a16z backed startups like Landis and Propel and mid-sized companies like Match Group and Thumbtack. In my career, I have worked on:
Every kind of product (consumer, B2B2C, growth, monetization, zero to one)
Across various roles (IC to people management)
In various environments (20 person startup to a global conglomerate)
And industries (fintech, social, marketplace, international, etc.)
In 2023, I went on a sabbatical to evaluate what I wanted in this next chapter of my career. During that time, I experimented with various projects while taking time to rest, plan a wedding, and explore passions.
I still love building products: breaking down ambiguous customer/business problem, learning as much as I can from customers, data, and stakeholders to chart a path forward, and work with a compassionate, motivated team to execute on it. At the same time, I want to integrate coaching and writing as a way to have more impact while flexing more of my creative skills.
I am proud to build a portfolio career that merges my passions across product, coaching, and writing. Through this path, I want to leverage all of my talents to build a more empowered and prosperous world: combining technology’s scale, the “butterfly” impact of coaching, and the heart-led power of storytelling.
